Cane & Table
Nick Detrich is a New Orleans-based bartender and managing partner of Cure Co.’s Cane & Table. After joining the staff at Cure, he ascended the ranks to co-manager and was on the opening management team for Bellocq. After two successful rum pop-ups (with collaborator Chef Adam Biderman) Detrich set his sights on opening a rum bar exploring the impact that the spirit had on the development of drinking culture in the Americas. Cane & Table, situated along one of the New World’s oldest ports, is his platform for this concept and has since become a nationally recognized program garnering accolades as one of the 5 Best Cocktail Bars in America by Bon Appetit. It was also named one of the Best Bars in America by Food & Wine, Esquire Television, Eater.com, Thrillist.com and one of the Best Bars in the South by Garden & Gun Magazine and Southern Living Magazine. Cane & Table also garnered a semi-finalist nomination for the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Bar Program” in 2015, along with finalist and semi-finalist placements for the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards ("Best New Cocktail Bar" and "Best Restaurant Bar").
