Andy Nelson was barely of legal drinking age when he and his younger brother Charlie [who wasn't] embarked on their life's mission to revive their historic family distilling business. With the opening of the new Nelson's Green Brier Distillery and Tasting Room in Nashville, the brothers are striding confidently in the footsteps of their great-great-great grandfather Charles Nelson, whose pre-Prohibition enterprise was the leading producer of whiskey in America in the late 1800s. Andy claims the role of Head Distiller, devoting all his considerable energy to the creation of classic spirits worthy of the family legacy including Belle Meade Bourbon, BMB Special Cask Finish Series, and Nelson’s First 108 Tennessee Whiskey. The small batch spirits have received honors from Garden & Gun's "Made in the South Awards," Southern Living's "Food Awards" and Double Gold medal accolades from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Old No. 5 is back!
