Grayson Schmitz is Executive Chef of BKLYN Larder in New York City, a specialty grocer that focuses on sustainable produce and meats from local farms. She is a native of Wisconsin who graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 2004. She has traveled extensively in Europe, seeking out inspiration, an experience that gives her food an authentic and pure profile.
Ms. Schmitz has cooked in some of Americas most prestigious kitchens for over 15 years, including Jean Georges, Fiamma (under Fabio Trabocchi), and Wallsé. In 2011 she took over the conceptual team at Olivier Cheng Catering & Events as a recipe developer. Shortly after she entered the Bravo Networks world famous Top Chef competition season 9. She returned in 2015 to compete again in season 13.
